II. Classroom & home tips
- Print letter charts; screens tire young eyes during calligraphy.
- Keep a “Hebrew corner” basket: pencils, scrap paper, stickers.
- Never force public chanting. Listening counts as participation.
- Pair energetic kids as “stroke coaches” for peers tracing letters.
- Invite a knowledgeable guest (cantor, rabbi, Hebraist) after Week 4 if available.
III. Inclusion notes
This course is designed for Jewish learners, Christian learners, and religiously unaffiliated curious readers. Present Hebrew as a shared heritage language of Scripture without pressuring confessional conclusions. When doctrine comes up, point adults to the site’s hub conviction statement and keep children’s sessions craft-focused.

Ask learners to point to an aleph, a qamats, and a sof pasuq on a page.
Can they hear?
Hum vs. chant: can they tell flat reading from melodic reading?
Can they make?
A careful copy of שָׁלוֹם shows calligraphy growth.

Curiosity questions beat perfect quizzes every time.
