A course for eyes, hands, and ears

Hebrew Scripture was never only ink on a page. Scribes shaped letters with care. Teachers added tiny dots so every generation could pronounce the words. Cantors sang the text with special marks that turn reading into music. This free course invites children and general readers to try all three crafts—without needing a university degree.

We use the same blue, gold, and scholarly style as the rest of The Masoretes, but the tone is warm and practical. Every lesson has pictures, simple explanations, something to try, and optional video. When you are ready for deeper scholarship, we point you to notes on soferim, nakdanim, and the codices.
